We welcomed Helen Richardson to our class on March 5, 2017. She gave a presentation on her 2016 Fall semester abroad in Tanzania titled "Muzungu Life in Tanzania: Community Development, Goats, and Flexibility." In closing, Helen asked us to reflect on these questions:
Here are links to some of the organizations and projects that Helen worked with during her stay in Tanzania:
- How do we apply knowledge we learn about other places in the world in a faith/American setting?
- How do we support international education (Christian and secular)?
- What can we learn from these Tanzanian places about community and helping others?
- How do we create/find areas where we can listen to/meet/befriend/be changed/enlightened by people from different backgrounds and places than us?
